MontanaWebmaster.com Has Been Hacked!

About the Hack
About the Restore

INTRODUCTION: MontanaWebmaster.com was recently hacked with a compromise that is common on sites hosted on Modwest. While a new site is being restored on a different web host, SiteGround, you may be interested to read more about the hack on our Facebook Page. Also, you will see changes to this static site over time while we post about how to create a new WordPress site. Watch the discussion about the hack, the temporary static site and the new WordPress site on our Facebook page.

AS THE HACKED SITE TURNS: THE HACKER'S CODE Episode 11

As I rebuild the hacked Montana Webmaster website at a leisurely pace ... while rebuilding 4 other sites at a more frantic pace, let's look at the next block of code. Per Episode 10, we saw that the HTML is not correctly structured with a <head></head> and <body></body>, but it works anyway so here is the next block.

A Google search for Zentak shows quite a few uses for that name, including graphic novels, a last name, a corporation, something to do with reincarnation and someone who is IsraelPhobic.

Note the connection between this hack event and the Moroccan Axxxx Sxxxxx event. Obviously, the hole that was in the Modwest server is still there.

I find the use of the last meta tag interesting. Is it just after another link, or is there more to it?
